Our Story
Mrs. Shirom Bhartiya, who was our mother and lived from 1945 to 2015, was an exceptional woman who was ahead of her time. She pursued the highest education in psychology and literature, and was committed to spreading literacy, promoting self-employment, improving healthcare, and advocating for labor welfare causes in India. She was instrumental in establishing labor welfare centers with support from the Indian Government and various industry houses.
Inspired by her vision and as a small tribute to her spirit and efforts, we have established a Trust with modern technologies and funding from family, relatives, and supporters. The Trust aims to continue her work towards similar causes.
Recognizing the significant social impact that startups can have in a developing country like India, we ventured into this domain by establishing our operations in this field. We constructed a private Incubator center in the valley of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, which was recognized by the state government as the first private Incubator center to be on par with other esteemed institutions such as IIT and IIM.
The Government of India granted the Trust the status of a charitable entity under the Income Tax Act. This tax-exempt status has enabled us to receive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from Indian companies. In addition to our Incubation activities, we have also initiated camps to address other social issues such as housing needs, financial inclusion, and skill training throughout the state.
We have expanded our operations to another state in India, Uttar Pradesh. This year, we commenced our operations from the capital city of Lucknow, with a remarkable number of founder volunteers, demonstrating the significance of our values and requirements.
